Sunday Morning
I will be preaching on how to share the love of Christ. My intent is to share some practical steps each of us can take in order to share the love of Christ with those who do not know Him yet.
Sunday Evening
Be here at 5:00 on Sunday to hear from Team Honduras. The High School students who travelled there on mission this month will be sharing with us for the hour preceding firm foundations ministry. You do not want to miss this.
My School Project
I heard back from my advisor that all five chapters of my doctoral project have been fully approved. My next step is to travel down to Southern Seminary in October for my oral defense. After that, Lord willing, I will graduate in December.
Next Sunday Morning
I asked (actually I commanded, begged, cajoled and persuaded) Drew Papillon to preach next Sunday. In bringing him through the brain tumor and the birth of their first child, God has been doing a good work in Drew’s soul.
I am asking Drew to speak to us in corporate worship along these lines – “Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for my soul.” Psalm 66:16
Praying for Firm Foundations
Sunday will be the 8th and final session for this round of firm foundations classes. Join me in praying for those who participated in each class.
Marriage – “When Sinners Say I Do” Praying that each couple would know God’s forgiveness in the gospel and demonstrate that same grace to one another in order that their marriages may mirror Christ.
The Bible Many Books One Story – Praying that each person would be better enabled to understand, appreciate, desire, and share the story of Scripture.
Biblical Peacemaking – Racine Bible Church, like all churches, needs more Spirit filled people who can resolve conflicts in the way that manifests gospel peace and righteousness.
Spiritual Gifts – Praying that each class member would be faithful and fruitful in deploying their gift, in the strength God supplies, in order to build up the church for the glory of God.
