I’m back

I am back in the office today after two weeks away.

I did not sit in front of a computer once during those two weeks.

What I did do…

Family reunion in Ireland

Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin

Climb around the Giant’s Causeway

Kiss the Blarney Stone

Visit stunningly beautiful Dunluce Castle, built by Richard DeBurgh

Saw our family crest hanging in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin

Rode the London Eye

Metropolitan Tabernacle in London where Spurgeon preached

Walked through Bunhill fields where John Owen, John Bunyan and others are buried

Hiked up Arthur’s seat in Edinburgh. There is no view like the one from the top of that mountain.

Developed a temporary addiction to the Cadbury Cream Egg Mcflurry

Climbed I don’t know how many steps to the top of the dome at Saint Paul’s Cathedral

Inside Saint Paul’s, I wept at the memorial to the American servicemen who died protecting England in WWII

Horatius Bonar’s grave at Canongate Kirk Edinburgh

For those who may be interested, Amy has posted some pictures from our trip on her blog.

I was so thankful for the opportunity to show Car, Sam and Rye parts of this great, wide world into which we go preaching the gospel.
