In elder’s meeting Tuesday morning we talked about giving money to do electrical work at the local Truck Stop.
Huh?
How is that proper stewardship of what comes in to the offering plate?
The explanation is that we are working with Transport for Christ.
This is a missions agency that reaches truckers all across the states.
Transport for Christ is seeking to open a mobile chapel at the truck stop in Racine.
The electrical work will run to the semi-permanent truck trailer that will serve as the chapel.
This converted truck trailer will be outfitted with Bibles, literature, and manned with volunteer chaplains who will meet with truckers and share the good news.
I have to admit, I was not thinking of truckers as an “unreached people group.”
But I love the idea.
I am thrilled that we can participate in this gospel outreach.
