Friday

Friday

We took the boys to the skate park downtown.

I agreed to a run with Amy on the lakeshore path.

Woman punished me! Six miles.

I could not keep up with her.

Stopped at the store on the way home.

These were one sale for one dollar a box.

So good. And practically fat free.

We bought the legal limit. The downstairs freezer is full. I am like the man in Luke 12.19.

I finished reading (actually listening to) “The Country of the Blind.”

H.G. Wells’ short story really worked for me on a number of levels.

I don’t presume to know what point Wells was making.

But, to me, the story is a a kind of a parable.

It powerfully represents how impossible it is for those who have spiritual sight to describe it to those who do not.

Everything makes so much sense to the seeing and is totally unimaginable to those who have never seen.

I enjoyed it immensely and I continue to ponder it.
