Happy Easter Crosswalk Kids!

Happy Easter Crosswalk Kids!

I hope you enjoy the video of our Crosswalk teachers greeting the children!

I so miss meeting with our Crosswalk Kids each week. One of the things I miss the most is hearing them sing in Crosswalk church! I would remind you that we have the songs on the website. Brennan had given you a great overview of the hymns we use on a video a couple weeks ago. Please sing these with your children. Use them as a play list for background music, bedtime music, or family worship! Crosswalk Hymnal

I miss sharing God’s Word with them. But you get that privilege accentuated with the “safer at home” time with your kids. I am asking for your help. Our scheduled lessons for Crosswalk for April and May will take the children through key lessons in 1 & 2 Kings. I would like to give you the passages and the main truths that cover these books. I would encourage you to read the passage with the main truth in mind.

Read the passage with your child.

  • Talk about these questions:
  • What is God doing, how is He relating with, or what is He asking His people to do? How does that relate to us today?
  • How are the people responding to God in this passage? How do we respond in similar or different ways?

Here are the lessons:

  • April 19 – 1 Kings 2 & 3 – God gives wisdom to those who ask for it
  • April 26 – 1 Kings 8 & 9 – God is faithful and our response should be praise
  • May 3 – 1 Kings 11 – God deserves all our love for all our life
  • May 10 – 1 Kings 12, 14 – We miss God’s blessing when we disobey Him
  • May 17 – 1 Kings 17-18 – The Lord is the only true God

Trustfully, we will be back together for the family service on May 24th. If not by then:

  • May 31 – 2 Kings 18, 19 – God demonstrates His power by protecting his people
  • June 7 – 2 Kings 12-15 – God is faithful to punish sin, so we must repent.

When we return we will do a review of these lessons the first week, so we are counting on you to help us out by going over these lessons with your kids!

Here are some helpful resource websites if you are looking for Scripture based activities to do with your kids:

Looking forward to being back together. There is nothing like our RBC body, and you are all sorely missed.

P.S. Some of you will appreciate this: our attendance program has worked perfectly recently!
