The story you are about to hear is true.
This happened relatively recently.
Disclaimer: The name is being withheld in order to protect the guilty and save me some major grief at home.
Background: A little while back, a member of my family missed the Sunday sermon.
Time: Next morning. Monday 7:00 am.
Family member: “Could you put the sermon on an ipod so that I can hear it this morning?”
Me: “Sure.” I did this and delivered the ipod.
Two minutes later I went back to the room to make sure it was working. I received the thumbs up sign and noted the person listening with ear buds in and Bible open.
Twenty minutes later I checked in again. I knew the sermon was about 45 minutes long. I was hoping to be a servant a deliver some water, tea, coffee, English muffins, or whatever this good family member might wish to enjoy as they were listening to my sermon.
What do I find?
Asleep.
Curled up in bed.
Eyes closed.
Bible still open.
Quietly snoring.
While the ipod lies at the edge of the mattress about to fall off…
