Babies
I really enjoyed baby presentation yesterday in corporate worship. I love how the whole family of God stands together in committing that we will do our part to help raise these little ones in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
I gave some advice to a good brother yesterday
It was one of those conversations where the one approaching you pretty much says –
“I am asking you because I think you might tell me what I don’t want to hear. My problem is that I don’t want to do what I think I might need to do. So even though I don’t want to do it, I do want to do what God wants me to do. So I am willing to seek your counsel and guidance even if it means I need to do what I don’t want to do.”
Slow Cooker
Mother’s Day Lunch turned out great. I made a 12 layer lasagna. It kinda threw off my Sunday morning routine, but worked out okay. In addition to praying and looking over my sermon notes I also had to combine cheeses and layer all my ingredients in the slow cooker all before leaving for church early.
How to pray on Monday
Most Mondays I try to recall the main verses that stood out to me in the worship service and turn back to them as prayers for the week.
Here is how it worked for me today – During worship at RBC yesterday I was really struck by Romans 8:32-39 on the strength of God’s love and Ephesians 1:3-6 on the sovereignty of God’s love. So this morning I turned those passages into prayers of praise and of supplication that I will live in that love and help others to know it and see it through my speech and conduct.
