I hate to break it to you – but there will be trials in this new year.
The good news is that they can be sources of growth, strength, and even joy for you if you follow this counsel.
Trust Him in trial
We must be content in our trials to live so simply and uncomplicatedly that life remains a matter of a simple “Yes” to God in whatever he says, and “No” to whatever is clearly not his will. Thus we leave the rest absolutely to Him. We are in His hands. That should be sufficient. It is absolutely essential that however hard the trial, we must keep to the simplicities of our faith and never allow the purity of our positive trust in the Lord to be muddied by doubt, and the frantic actions which doubt may inspire. Remember our arch-enemy, the accuser, constantly works to make us feel insecure. — William Still
