Brain Phipps has been with us for the last three Sunday evenings.
I am so thankful for his messages on evangelism.
I am challenged and convicted.
I am encouraged and motivated.
I am equipped and committed.
The stories Brian shared about his personal evangelism were great. The stories weren’t old or worn. Each week they were fresh from that week. This makes sense because Brian is an evangelist. His gifts and calling in this area are abundantly evident. It is our joy to support him in his work and to learn from him as he pursues it.
What Brian shared, and how he shared it, has made a difference in my speech and conduct.
Every stop at the gas station,
Every line at the grocery store,
Every jog around my neighborhood,
Is an opportunity to meet people.
People who are hurting, who have questions, who suffer.
People who need to be listened to and loved.
Lord, lay some soul upon my heart,
And love that soul through me;
And may I bravely do my part
To win that soul for Thee.
