I have an interesting job.

On my desk at this moment is the following:

Biblical Theology by Geerhardus Vos

I love Geerhardus. I was looking up something about the Passover in Exodus 12. A couple of commentaries and study Bibles made some helpful but pretty shallow points and they all echoed each other. I pulled out Vos and he brought it! I feel like the other works I consulted first just kind of cribbed their notes off of Vos. I love this book.

Premarital book (Preparing for Marriage God’s Way by Wayne Mack)

Dr. Mack taught me biblical counseling. I really like this workbook. I have a premarital appointment this afternoon.

A long article about the tabernacle by Charles Feinberg.

Those of you who have been here at RBC for a while know (and love) Dr. John Feinberg. He graciously and capably filled the pulpit while RBC was between senior pastors. Charles is his father. Both father and son write crisply accurate theology with flashes of gracious and practical insight.

A proposal I am making to the other pastors for a new year’s series that will have all six of us sharing the pulpit on January 3rd and 10th.

Two wrinkled wrappers from Wonka’s Bottle Caps.

I like orange and grape but cola flavor definitely tops them all.
