From the book John Wesley on the Christian life by Fred Sanders
This paragraph is what John Wesley said to his good friends. I share it so that you can make a similar paragraph and share it with your close friends…
“Speak to me, in love, whatever thou believest to be for my soul’s health. Provoke me to love and good deeds. Whenever I appear to thee to be doing my own will rather than the will of him who sent me, smite me as a friend and reprove me strongly.
O speak and spare not whatever thou believest may conduce the strengthening of my weakness, the amending of my faults, the building me up in love, or the making me more fit, in any way, for the master’s use.”
