Thank you for your prayers.
John and I sensed that God used us for His purposes on our trip to Kabardino-Balkaria.
We return more committed than ever to uphold the church planting brothers there in prayer. It is a privilege to support such men with love and prayer and finances. They are brave. They know how to endure.
I learned more on this trip about the displacement of the Balkars in the 1940s. It seems that every place I travel in the world I witness new evidences of man’s cruelty to man. Injustice is everywhere. This world has no Shalom apart from Christ.
For those of you who asked, no. The brothers there did not kiss us. But they did embrace us with warmth and affection. They have found a joy which is truly independent of circumstances and surroundings. They complain so little. I want to be more like them.
