the more unquenchable

the more unquenchable

David Brainerd described his spiritual desires this way –

“When I really enjoy God, I feel my desires of Him the more insatiable, and my thirstings after holiness the more unquenchable. And the Lord will not allow me to feel as though I were fully supplied and satisfied, but keeps me still reaching forward.”

I get what he is saying.

The more I reflect on God’s goodness and grace in the gospel the more I want these meditations to continue. It builds and builds, grace upon grace.

Take time today (more time than you initially think you need) to remember God’s goodness and the full, free, forever pardon that is ours at the cross.
