Eight Great Things from Sunday

8) When we woke up in the morning, there was no milk at home. It was polished off sometime Saturday night over bowls of cereal while watching movies. So we had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for breakfast. Nice.

7) People dropping money into our Christmas card project. This year’s project goes to Kamunge family who are raising 22 HIV/AIDS orphans in Kenya.

6) Announcing the Prayer Summit for Friday night December 10 and seeing people excited about a time to join together in fervent, evangelistic prayer.

5) Got a card from the Courtney family … and it had a mint three musketeers taped to it.

4) Explaining, from Deuteronomy 5:29 and Psalm 31:19, that the best interests of His people are deep in the heart of God. He lovingly longs for that which is best for us – the fear of the Lord.

3) Praying Proverbs 8:13 during corporate worship. “Lord, help us to so love you that we hate what you hate.”

2) Singing these lines –

JESUS, FRIEND OF SINNERS / I LOVE TO TELL THE STORY

REDEEMING LOVE HAS BEEN MY THEME / AND WILL BE WHEN IN GLORY

NOT DEATH, NOR LIFE, NOR ANYTHING / CAN EVER SEPARATE ME

O LOVE THAT WILL NOT LET ME GO / YES I AM HIS FOREVER

1) Wayne told me that after second service he and people from his ABF prayed with a woman who, after attending for several months, finally confessed Christ as Savior and Lord.
