who are you talking to?

who are you talking to?

I talked with someone today.

Someone outside the church.

This person was hurting, really hurting because of somebody else’s sin.

I was able to listen.

I was able to share.

“That is really hard. You are suffering because of this other person’s sin. It hurt you deeply. It shocked you that this person sinned against you in this way. It leaves a scar and it stings. But it doesn’t really surprise you that we are all sinners, does it? We all know that. Can I ask you – what can be done about sin? I mean really, how can it be dealt with? So that its consequences between people (which are so painful) and even more so its consequences before a holy God are really dealt with?”

From there I was able to share the gospel.

There are hurting people everywhere. Find them.

Share the hope of Jesus Christ who died for our sins.
