Resources on End Times

The RBC Pulpit will focus in on the subject of the end times for the next two Sundays.

Living Hope — God’s Glorious Plan’s for the Future

So here are a couple of recommended readings if you want to go further. It’s important to get good recommendations here, because there may not be an area of Christian learning more filled with kooky teaching than end times studies.

Here are two resources that we recommend wholeheartedly.

Understanding End Times Prophecy

Paul Benware

This is an outstanding single volume covering of all the important issues. Benware (who was a pastor and professor at Moody Institute) provides just the right amount of biblical detail in this comprehensive overview. Topics covered include the OT covenants, all the major prophetic passages, differing views on the nature of the millennium and the timing of the rapture, the coming judgments, and the final eternal state.

Christ’s Prophetic Plans

Edited by John MacArthur and Richard Mayhue

Collection from various authors (most faculty of The Master’s Seminary) with chapters explaining futuristic premillenialism, the pretribulational rapture, dispensationalism, Israel’s future, and Revelation 20.
